Kindergarten: October 18, 2017

This week, we finished our unit about body parts in Spanish!  After meeting Pedro's "amigos imaginarios" over the past few weeks, students created "amigos" of their own!

Ask your student:
  • Can you show me your amigo?  Can you tell me about him or her in Spanish?  (Students brought their amigos home!  If they want to make another one for fun, you can print another copy HERE.)
Vocabulary:
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
  • los dedos - the fingers
  • los dedos de pie - the toes
  • el pelo - the hair
  • el estómago - the stomach
  • la espalda - the back
  • las manos - the hands
  • los brazos - the arms
  • los ojos - the eyes
  • las orejas - the ears
  • la cabeza - the head
  • los hombros - the shoulders

  • los pies - the feet
  • tiene - he/she has

Homework:
Note:  In Kindergarten, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.
  • From last week:  Meet one of Pedro's Amigos Imaginarios.  See if you can draw what he looks like!  Click Here
  • Sing along with "Padre Abraham" in Spanish!  Click HERE
  • Sing along with this "Cabeza, Hombros, Piernas, Pies" Video!  There are a few new words in there that we'll be learning over the next few weeks!  (YouTube Link if video here isn't working)
