5th and 6th Grade: September 27, 2017

During class today, some students shared their own Spanish stories with the class!  I was impressed with everyone's creativity!  We also took a few minutes to make our "Amigo del día" posters to share with the class!

Ask your student:
  • What did you learn about Señora Brouwer from her "amigo del día" poster?  (Everyone drew 4 pictures...two of them representing something TRUE about them, and two of them representing something FALSE.  Each week, we'll feature a different student and learn all about them in Spanish.  This week students learned that it's TRUE that I like to travel and I have two children.)

Vocabulary:
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
  • quiere - he/she wants to
  • puede - he/she is able to
  • agarrar - to grab
  • casi - almost
  • pero - but, however
  • salta - he/she jumps
  • tiene - he/she has
  • se cae - he/she/it falls down
  • hay - there is/there are

  • Quia Vocabulary/Language practice:

      • Quia:  Battleship style "fill in the blanks" practice
      • Quia:  Put the phrases in order

      • Quia Assignment (worth 2 stickers!  All based on the Bible verse)
  • Bible Memory:  This semester, we'll be memorizing 2 Corinthians 13:11 as an (HC)2 group.  We will practice memorizing this verse in Spanish.
    • Previous Assignments:  Did you miss last week's assignment?  If you were absent, you may still complete it for 2 stickers each.  If you weren't absent, but didn't get to the assignment, you may still complete the assignments for one sticker each.
