We also began learning our Bible memory verse (2 Corinthians 13:11) in Spanish. See the homework links below for more information!
Ask your student:
- If Señora Brouwer says "Oh, alumnos" what do you say back? ("Oh alumnos" means "Oh, students." Students reply by saying, "Sí, maestra" which means "Yes, teacher.")
- If Señora Brouwer asks you "¿Tienes mascota?" how would you answer? (The question asks if you have a pet, so the answer would be "sí" or "no.")
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
- tengo - I have
- tienes - you have
- tiene - he/she has
- la mascota - the pet
- el perro - the dog
- el gato - the cat
Homework:
- Quia Vocabulary/Language practice:
- Note: If you have students in the 4th-6th grade classes, they have a username and password for Quia. For 2nd and 3rd grade, I do not assign usernames and passwords, and the activities won't require that information. These assignments are optional vocabulary review for students. Please let me know if you have any questions.
- Also, if your computer has trouble loading the activity, there should be an option to "play the HTML version." The graphics won't be as elaborate, but the content is the same.
- Mascotas Week 1 Vocabulary (Battleship-style game!)
- Bible Memory: This semester, we'll be memorizing 2 Corinthians 13:11 as an (HC)2 group. We will practice memorizing this verse in Spanish.
- Printed Version
- Audio Version (will be working by Saturday afternoon)
