Kindergarten: November 4, 2015

Today in class, we played a "hot potato" game to review the words we learned last week.  After that, we learned some new vocabulary words with the help of our friend, Espantapájaros.  We sang some songs and played another game to finish class.

Ask your student:
  • What new songs did you learn in Spanish class this week? (We learned two songs... Father Abraham, and Head and Shoulders, Knees, and Toes...but in Spanish it's Head and Shoulders, Legs, and Feet!)

This week's vocabulary:

  • las manos - the hands
  • los pies - the feet
  • la espalda - the back
  • los hombros - the shoulders

Review vocabulary:
  • espantapájaros - scarecrow
  • tiene - he/she has
  • la cabeza - the head
  • las piernas - the legs
  • los brazos - the arms
  • el estómago - the stomach
Homework:
  • Sing along!  Father Abraham/Padre Abraham
  • Bible Memory Verse!
    • Canten al Señor con alegría, toda la tierra.  Salmos 100:1 (cien, versículo uno)
    • Audio version (the audio version includes more than just the first verse, but it may still be helpful for Kindergarten students)
