Kindergarten: November 18, 2015

Today in class, we used songs and games to review the vocabulary words we have learned so far in this unit.  After learning a few more new words, we looked at some pretty silly "amigos imaginarios" (imaginary friends).  We talked about these crazy amigos all in Spanish, and then students had a chance to create their own amigos.

Ask your student:
  • In Spanish class, you drew an "amigo imaginario" (imaginary friend).  What was yours like?  (Everyone had some pretty creative friends!  After Thanksgiving, we'll use these drawings to keep practicing our vocabulary words.)
This week's vocabulary:

New
  • el pelo - the hair
  • los dedos - the fingers
Review
  • los ojos - the eyes
  • las orejas - the ears
  • la boca - the mouth
  • la nariz - the nose
  • las manos - the hands
  • los pies - the feet
  • la espalda - the back
  • los hombros - the shoulders
  • espantapájaros - scarecrow
  • tiene - he/she has
  • la cabeza - the head
  • las piernas - the legs
  • los brazos - the arms
  • el estómago - the stomach
Homework:
  • Practice all of our words with THIS VIDEO.  See if you can point to the right part before the picture comes up!
  • Sing along!  Father Abraham/Padre Abraham (if that link doesn't work, try this LINK for YouTube)
  • Bible Memory Verse!
    • Canten al Señor con alegría, toda la tierra.  Salmos 100:1 (cien, versículo uno)
    • Audio version (the audio version includes more than just the first verse, but it may still be helpful for Kindergarten students)
