4th, 5th, 6th Grade: October 28, 2015

This week, we learned all about a new "amigo del día." (Friend of the day).  We practiced learning our Bible memory verse (Psalm 100) in Spanish.  We also learned some new vocabulary words.  Right now, the words are a seemingly random combination, but they're actually taken from a Bible story.  Over the next few weeks, we'll learn more words to eventually talk about a Bible story all in Spanish.

Ask your student:
  • Who was the "amigo del día" in Spanish class today?  What is one thing you learned about him?  (This week, our "amigo del día" was a boy and he likes crocodiles.)
  • If someone asks "¿por qué? how could you answer their question?  (¡Porque!  ¿Por qué?--two words with an accent mark means "why?" and porque--one word, with no accent means "because!")
This week's vocabulary:
  • Amigo del Día
    • Each week, we'll learn more about our classmates!  On the blog, I'll only list the words we learned in class that week.  However, I'm keeping a list of all of our Amigo del Día vocabulary.  Click HERE to view the entire list.
