4th, 5th, 6th Grade: October 14, 2015

This week, we learned all about a new "amigo del día." (Friend of the day).  We practiced learning our Bible memory verse (Psalm 100) in Spanish.  Then, we read over the silly sentences/mini stories that students wrote last week.  We made illustrations to go with each sentence or story.

Ask your student:
  • Who was the "amigo del día" in Spanish class today?  What is one thing you learned about him?  (This week, our "amigo del día" was a boy and he has a unique pet.)
This week's vocabulary:
  • Amigo del Día
    • Each week, we'll learn more about our classmates!  On the blog, I'll only list the words we learned in class that week.  However, I'm keeping a list of all of our Amigo del Día vocabulary.  Click HERE to view the entire list.

Homework:
  • Final Assignment:  Since we finished our unit this week, we have a final assignment instead of a Quia assignment.  The assignment was handed out in class.  If you misplaced your assignment sheet, you can CLICK HERE to print a new copy.
  • Quia Assignments!  Need to catch up on any of the assignments?  Here they are!  If you don't have your Quia log in information, please email me and I can get you that information right away.
  • A note about assignments:  These are for students to practice.  Most questions Quia is able to grade automatically and give instant feedback.  Students may retry questions or the entire assignment as often as they want.  If a student is "stuck" with vocabulary, the vocabulary list above is a great resource.
  • Bible Memory Verse!
    • This year, all of the (HC)2 Students will be memorizing Psalm 100 during the first semester.  We will also be memorizing part of it in Spanish class!  This week, we added verse three!
      • Canten al Señor con alegría, toda la tierra.  Con alegría adoren al Señor; ¡con gritos de alegría vengan a su presencia!  Reconozcan que el Señor es Dios; él nos hizo y somos suyos; ¡somos pueblo suyo y ovejas de su prado! Salmos 100:1-3 (cien, versículo uno a tres)
