1st Grade: March 14, 2018

This week we practiced reading the book Mis Crayones in class.

Ask your student:
  • What was your favorite center today?  Why? (There were several centers for students to visit during class.  Each center had some task related to our mini book Mis Crayones. As they went from center to center, they completed a few simple activities.  Ask your student to see his/her worksheet from class.)
  • Can you read me the Mis Crayones book?  (Students were excited to bring their mini book home today!)

  • crayón - crayon
  • Colores - colors (review of 10 basic colors)
    • azul - blue
    • amarillo - yellow
    • rojo - red
    • verde - green 
    • morado - purple
    • naranja (or anaranjado) - orange
    • blanco - white
    • negro - black 
    • gris - gray
    • café (or pardo, or marrón) - brown
  • yo - I/me
  • veo - I see
  • globos - balloons
  • Numbers 1-10
Homework:
Note:  In first grade, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.
  • Colors song!  It's a fast paced song, but a fun way to review colors in Spanish!
  • Watch this video to practice our weather vocabulary words.
