We also played a Hot and Cold type game to practice the numbers 1-20.
Ask your student:
- How tall was the sandwich your group made? What would happen if you forgot to say "gracias"? (We had some pretty tall sandwiches, but if someone forgot to say "gracias," we would take off the top layer of the sandwich.)
- What number game did you play in Spanish class today? (One student would go out in the hall, and we would hide Pedro somewhere. When the student came back in the room, we would begin counting in Spanish from 1-20. The closer the student got to Pedro, the louder we'd count! It was a fun challenge to try to find Pedro before the class got to 20. Not everyone had a turn today, but we'll contine playing in weeks to come.)
