4th, 5th, 6th Grade: March 23, 2016

Today in class, we continued our new unit:  art related vocabulary words, and learning about the Spanish artist Joan Miró.  Today, we focused on expressing opinions in Spanish.

Ask your student:
  • Who was the amigo del día in class today?  What did you learn about him?  (Our amigo del día was a boy who likes to go fishing.)
  • What do you think about Joan Miró's artwork?  Can you tell me your opinion in Spanish?  (See vocabulary list for help.)
This week's vocabulary:
  • En mi opinión - In my opinion
  • ¿Qué opinas?  - What's your opinion?
  • Yo prefiero - I prefer
  • ¿Cuál prefieres? - Which do you prefer?
  • loco - crazy
  • único - unique
  • interesante - interesting
  • aburrido - boring
  • sencillo - plain
  • piensa - he/she thinks
  • pienso - I think

  • Second Semester Bible Memory
    • This semester, we'll be memorizing two short passages in Spanish.  Students received a hard copy of the verses in class.  If your student misplaced the paper, you can print a new copy HERE.
    • Verses for January and February
    • Yo soy el buen pastor; conozco a mis ovejas y ellas me conocen a mí, así como el Padre me conoce a mí, y yo lo conozco a él, y doy mi vida por las ovejas.  Juan 10:14-15 (Juan diez, versículos catorce y quince.)
