3rd Grade: March 23, 2016

Oh, no.  Someone stole Pedro's cheese!  This week, students drew the faces of possible suspects and described them in Spanish.  Many students asked to complete more than one!!  Next time, they'll work to match up their classmates descriptions and pictures!

Ask your student:
  • What did your suspect look like?  How did you describe him/her in Spanish? 

This week's vocabulary:
  • Review
    • la barba -the beard
    • el bigote - the mustache
    • las pecas - the freckles
    • las gafas - the glasses
    • el pelo - the hair
    • el cabello - the hair (used in some Spanish speaking countries.  In class, we'll stick with "el pelo.")
    • el pelo rubio - blonde hair
    • el pelo castaño - brown hair
    • el pelo negro - black hair
    • el pelo rojo - red hair
    • el pelo canoso - gray hair 
    • calvo - bald
    • tiene-he/she has
    • tengo - I have
    • tienes - you have
    • ojos azules - blue eyes
    • ojos verdes - green eyes
    • ojos grises - gray eyes
    • ojos castaños - brown eyes

  • No new Quia assignment this week.  You can continue to practice with the vocabulary games or catch up on previous assignments.

    • This semester, we'll be memorizing two short passages in Spanish.  Students received a hard copy of the verses in class.  If your student misplaced the paper, you can print a new copy HERE.
