3rd Grade: March 9, 2016

Today in class we continued vocabulary to describe people.  This week we started talking about special features.

Ask your student:

• Do you have "pecas" or "gafas"? (We have quite a few students in our class with pecas!  See the vocabulary list below.)

This week's vocabulary:

• New
• las pecas - the freckles
• las gafas - the glasses
• Review
• el pelo - the hair
• el cabello - the hair (used in some Spanish speaking countries.  In class, we'll stick with "el pelo.")
• el pelo rubio - blonde hair
• el pelo castaño - brown hair
• el pelo negro - black hair
• el pelo rojo - red hair
• el pelo canoso - gray hair 
• calvo - bald
• tiene-he/she has
• tengo - I have
• tienes - you have
• ojos azules - blue eyes
• ojos verdes - green eyes
• ojos grises - gray eyes
• ojos castaños - brown eyes

• Second Semester Bible Memory
• This semester, we'll be memorizing two short passages in Spanish.  Students received a hard copy of the verses in class.  If your student misplaced the paper, you can print a new copy HERE.
