2nd Grade: March 23, 2016

This week, we continued our new unit!  We'll be learning the vocabulary words to tell the story of David and Goliath in Spanish!

Ask your student:
  • Can you tell me two differences between David and Goliath?  Can you say them in Spanish?(Use the vocabulary list to help you out:  Goliat tenía armadura, una espada, un casco.  David tenía ovejas.  David era pequeño.  Goliat era grande.  David era pastor. Goliat era soldado.) 
This week's vocabulary:
  • New
    • el casco - the helmet
    • la espada - the sword
    • la armadura - the armor
  • Review
    • David - David
    • el pastor -the shepherd
    • la oveja - the sheep
    • Goliat - Goliath
    • el soldado - the soldier

  • Practice the numbers Spanish numbers from 0-60 with these games!
  • Second Semester Bible Memory
    • This semester, we'll be memorizing two short passages in Spanish.  Students received a hard copy of the verses in class.  If your student misplaced the paper, you can print a new copy HERE.
    • Verses for January and February
    • Yo soy el buen pastor; conozco a mis ovejas y ellas me conocen a mí, así como el Padre me conoce a mí, y yo lo conozco a él, y doy mi vida por las ovejas.  Juan 10:14-15 (Juan diez, versículos catorce y quince)
