5th and 6th Grade: October 15, 2014

Today in class, we continued learning vocabulary to tell the story of Jonah all in Spanish.  While we haven't learned enough vocabulary to talk about Jonah, we had enough to tell a ridiculous, made-up story in Spanish.

Ask your student:
  • What do you remember about the silly story in class?  (It was about a boy who wanted to travel, but he didn't have a boat.  Then, he found out his mom was an astronaut and they went to the moon.)

Today's vocabulary:
  • el hombre - the man
  • el barco - the boat
  • duerme - he/she sleeps
  • se llama - he/she is called (used with names)
  • le dice - he/she says to him/her

Homework:
  • Listen and sing along with our song:  Eres Todopoderoso.
  • Practice our vocabulary words with these activities:  Flashcards/MatchingRags to Riches
  • Quia assignment. (Completing this assignment is worth 2 pegatinas)
  • Begin practicing our Bible Memory Verse:  Galatians 5:22
    • En cambio, el fruto del Espíritu es amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, amabilidad, bondad, fidelidad, humilidad, y dominio propio.  Gálatas 5:22 (cinco, versículo veintidos)
    • Audio Version
    • Earn 4 stickers by saying the verse to me on or before Wednesday, October 29.
