1st Grade: October 29, 2014

This week in Spanish class, we continued our unit all about farm animals.  Next week, we'll wrap it up by making a little booklet for students to bring home!  For more information about this unit, click here:  Farm Animals.

Ask your student:

• What were the four animals you learned about in class today?  Do you remember how to say their names in Spanish?  (el caballo-the horse, la vaca-the cow, el burro-the donkey) 
• What does a horse do?  Or, you can ask, "How do you say 'runs' in Spanish?"  (corre-he/she runs)

Today's vocabulary:

• corre - he/she runs
• el caballo - the horse
• la vaca - the cow
• el burro - the donkey

Homework:

• Listen our our song ¿Quién es el rey de la selva?

• Practice our Bible memory verse:  Psalm 24:1  (We will start learning a new verse next week)
