2nd and 3rd Grade: October 15, 2014

Today in class, we continued our new unit:  Los 5 Sentidos.  This week, we focused on listening/hearing, and touching/textures.  For more information about our new unit, click HERE.

Ask your student:

• What was the surprise box that Sra. Brouwer had in class?  (Students would reach into a box to touch a hidden object.  They would describe the object to the class...is it smooth or rough?  hard or soft?)

Today's vocabulary:

• escucho - I listen
• hablo - I talk 
• bajo - soft/quiet
• fuerte - loud
• las orejas - the ears (the outer ear, the part you can see and touch)
• los oídos - the ears (the inner part)
• toco - I touch 
• las manos - the hands
• áspero - rough/bumpy 
• suave - smooth 
• blando - soft/squishy 
• duro - hard
