1st Grade: March 22, 2017

This week, we continued practicing community related vocabulary all in Spanish.  We created a list of other places in our community that we'll add to a booklet next week.

Ask your student:

• What place did you choose to illustrate next week? (Everyone was assigned a place in our community to illustrate.  From a bank to a zoo, a mall and movie theater, we came up with an option for everyone.  If your student forgot his or her place, don't worry, I wrote down a list!) 

Vocabulary

Words in bold are new this week, others are review.

• el parque - the park
• la estación de bomberos - the fire station
• oficina de correos - post office
• biblioteca -library
• gente - people
• el policía - the police officer
• el cartero - the mail carrier
• el pastor - the pastor/minister
• el hospital - the hospital
• la escuela - the school

• el vecino - the neighbor (boy)
