Ask your student:
- What new animal did you learn about this week? (This week we learned the phrase "el pez" = the fish and "el pájaro" = the bird)
- What does a bird say in Spanish? (They don't say "tweet tweet." In Spanish, they say "pío, pío.")
- What game did you play in Spanish class? (There were two piles of cards. One had animal words, the other pile had action words. One student would choose an animal word and then hold up the correct animal. The other student would choose an action word and act it out. The class would have to say "sí" or "no." For example, if we had "la rana" and "vuela"--the frog, and fly, we would say "NO," since frogs don't fly.)
