3rd and 4th Grade: November 19, 2014

Today in class we continued our unit "Las Islas."  This week we talked about different geographical features and animals on the islands.  We also read some short paragraphs together as a class.

Ask your student:

• What are some interesting animals in the DR?  (There are crocodiles, iguanas, and flamingos!)

• el caballo - the horse
• el cocodrilo - the crocodile
• el flamenco - the flamingo
• la gaviota - the seagull
• la iguana - the iguana
• el bosque (de pino) - the (pine) forest
• la cueva - the cave
• la isla - the island

• el océano - the ocean
