5th and 6th Grade: October 5, 2016

Today, we began class as students presented their Chilean weather reports from last week.  We reviewed what we have talked about so far, and we spent some time talking about Chile's flag and their national food (empanadas).
Ask your student:
  • What is Chile's flag like?  (See if they can answer in Spanish!  Hay tres colores:  rojo, azul, y blanco.  Tiene una estrella.  It has three colors:  red, blue, and white.  It has a star.)
  • What is Chile's national food?  (It is the empanada.  It's like a "Hot Pocket."  It is meat or cheese wrapped up in bread.)
