4th/5th/6th Grade: April 13, 2016

Today in class, we continued to learn about Joan Miró.  We focused on expressing comparisons in Spanish.  

Ask your student:
  • Who were the amigos del día in class today?  What did you learn about them?  (Today, we had two amigos del día:  a boy who has 3 pet fish and a girl who has a lovable dog!)
  • Which of Joan Miró's paintings do you prefer?  The more realistic ones or the more complex ones?  (See vocabulary list for help.)
This week's vocabulary:

  • Es más __ que - It is more __ than
  • El perro es más grande que el gato - The dog is bigger (more big) than the cat
  • un ejemplo - an example
  • realista - realistic 
  • cambió - it changed

  • Second Semester Bible Memory
    • This semester, we'll be memorizing two short passages in Spanish.  Students received a hard copy of the verses in class.  If your student misplaced the paper, you can print a new copy HERE.
    • Verses for January and February
    • Yo soy el buen pastor; conozco a mis ovejas y ellas me conocen a mí, así como el Padre me conoce a mí, y yo lo conozco a él, y doy mi vida por las ovejas.  Juan 10:14-15 (Juan diez, versículos catorce y quince.)
