Kindergarten: February 19, 2014

Today in class, we began continued vocabulary to learn the Noah's Ark story in Spanish.  It was a great way to review some of the animal vocabulary we learned earlier this year!

Ask your student:
  • When God told Noah, "Trabajo mucho," what does that mean?  Did Noah obey? (It means "work a lot".  Yes, Noah obeyed.)
This week's vocabulary:
  • Review from last week
  • trabaja - he/she works
  • mira - he/she looks at
  • dice - says (we practiced some animal sounds in Spanish, too!)
  • la familia - the family
Homework:
  • We sang "La B-I-B-L-I-A" again (links to a new video!) and we also sang a song about Noah and his "floating house".
  • Practice our Bible verse and actions:  Psalm 23:1  (Click verse for Audio).
    • el Señor = the Lord = point up to heaven
    • es mi = is my = point to self
    • pastor = shepherd = pretend to hold a staff in one hand, put other hand by forehead as if you're looking out over a field of sheep.
    • nada = nothing = wave hands palms facing down
    • me falta = is lacking to me = place hands at side, palms facing upward.
