1st Grade: February 12, 2014

In Spanish class, started a new unit.  Over the next few weeks, we'll be learning the words for a Bible story in Spanish.  I didn't tell the students what story we'd be learning, but I encouraged them to see if they could figure it out.

Ask your student:

• What Bible Story do you think you'll be learning in Spanish class?  (See vocabulary list for a few clues.  I'll tell students next week what the story is!)  

Today's vocabulary:

• Jesús - Jesus
• habla - he/she talks
• escucha - he/she listens
• las personas - the people
• el pan - the bread
• el estómago - the stomach

Homework:

• We learned a new song today:  "La B-I-B-L-I-A"
• New Bible verse for January and February: 1 John 14:19  (Click for audio version)
• Nosotros amamos porque Él nos amó primero.  Primero de Juan 14 versículo 19.
