4th, 5th, 6th Grade: December 9, 2015

This week, we learned all about two more "amigos del día." (Friend of the day).  We practiced learning our Bible memory verse (Psalm 100) in Spanish--all five verses!  We also learned a little about a Christmas tradition in Spain.

Ask your student:
  • Who were the "amigos del día" in Spanish class today?  What is one thing you learned about each of them  (This week, we had two amigos del día.  A girl who likes to ride her bike, and boy who likes to practice archery.)
  • How do most people in Spain decorate for Christmas?  (The put up a "belén"...it's like a nativity set, but much bigger.  It has Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, shepherds, wise men, and animals, but also buildings, mountains, a lot of other people and animals, and even King Herod and his soldiers.)
