4/5/6: October 9, 2013

In class today, we started a new unit!  Little by little, we'll be learning the vocabulary words to read (and retell) a Bible Story in Spanish.  For more information about our new unit, click HERE.  (Spoiler alert:  the title of the document gives away what Bible story we'll be talking about!)

Ask your student:
  • Can you show me the actions that go with at least 4 of your new vocabulary words?  (Students helped to think up motions to help us remember each of the new vocabulary words.)

Today's vocabulary:
  • el rey - the king (la reina - the queen)
  • el palacio - the palace
  • los hombres - the men
  • cierra - he/she closes
  • le dice - he/she says to him or her
  • lo pone - he/she puts it
  • mira - he/she looks at
  • miran - they look at
  • trabaja - he/she works

Homework:
  • Sing along with our song:  Eres digno de alabar (Worthy of Praise)
  • OPTIONAL:  In class today, we began a worksheet.  Students may finish the worksheet to earn extra stickers (up to 4 stickers depending on how much you choose to complete).  If you misplaced the worksheet, you can print off another copy HERE.
  • Practice our Vocabulary words with THIS Quia game.
  • Complete THIS Quia assignment (worth 2 pegatinas)
  • Practice our Bible Verse:  John 3:16.  (Click HERE for slide show!  You will earn 2 pegatinas/stickers for memorizing this verse by October 9...New verse coming NEXT WEEK!)
