5th and 6th Grade: December 12, 2018

This week, students had the chance to show me how much they've learned this semester with a Spanish free write.  We ran out of time to play Toma Todo, but we'll be playing the first week back after break. :)

Ask your student:
  • What did you choose to write about?  (Students could write about anything they wanted to in Spanish!)
    Vocabulary
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
    • va - he/she goes
    • vive - he/she lives
    • compra - he/she buys
    • quiere - he/she wants
    • puede - he/she is able
    • cuesta - it costs
    • observa - he/she observes
    • el cuatro - the small 4 stringed instrument in the guitar family.  Common throughout Latin America.
      • el cuatrico - adding "-ico" to a word in Spanish makes it "little."  Cuatrico = the little cuatro.
    • la guitarra - the guitar
    • la cuerda - the string
    • más pequeño - smaller
    • parecido - similar
    • tiene - he/she/it has
    • es - he/she/it is
