Kindergarten: April 16, 2014

Today in class, we learned one last traditional rhyme!

Ask your student:
  • You learned a new song/rhyme in Spanish class today.  What song is it like in English?  (It's like the  "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?" chant.)
This week's vocabulary:
  • Ana come pan en la casa de San Juan
    • come - he/she eats
    • pan - bread
    • la casa - the house
    • San Juan - St. John
    • ¿Quién yo? - Who me?
    • ¡Sí, tú! - Yes, you!
    • Yo no soy. - It wasn't me.
    • Entonces, ¿quién? - Then, who?

Homework:
  • Watch our other songs and practice the actions!  5 RatoncitosChocolate, Chocolate (jumping game), Los Pollitos, Un Elefante.
  • Sing along!  Alele, alelu, alelu, aleluya
  • Practice our Bible verse and actions:  Psalm 23:1  (Click verse for Audio). 
    • el Señor = the Lord = point up to heaven
    • es mi = is my = point to self 
    • pastor = shepherd = pretend to hold a staff in one hand, put other hand by forehead as if you're looking out over a field of sheep. 
    • nada = nothing = wave hands palms facing down
    • me falta = is lacking to me = place hands at side, palms facing upward.
