2/3 Grade: March 26, 2014

Today in class, we continued learning words for a Bible story in Spanish!  Students worked in small groups to write their own stories using our vocabulary words.

Ask your student:
  • A few weeks ago you learned that "camina" means he/she walks.  What other word means "walks" in Spanish?  ("Anda" also means he/she walks.  We talked about how even in English, we sometimes have two words for the same thing.)
Today's vocabulary:
  • el camino - the path, the road
  • camina - he/she walks
  • ayuda - he/she helps
  • ¡Ayúdame! - Help me!
  • dijo - he/she said
  • puedo - I can
  • regresaré - I will return
  • pronto - soon
  • ¿Quién? - Who?
  • se fue - he/she left
  • el hombre - the man
    • Be careful!  In class we talked about the fact that "el hombre" looks like two other Spanish words we've learned!  el hombro - the shoulder, and el hambre - the hunger/hungry
  • anda - walks
  • venga - come here!
  • venía - he/she was coming

Homework:
