5th and 6th Grade: March 13, 2019

We talked a bit more about the Spanish festival of "Las Fallas."  We watched a video of a "mascleta" (see below!)

Ask your student
  • Ask your student:
    • What is the mascleta?  (It's a huge firecracker "show."  From March 1-19, it happens every day at 2pm.)
    • (This is a different video than the one we watched in class.  It's from 2009, but it shows the noise level on the side.  This video is actually in "Valenciano"--the language spoken in the Valencia region along with Spanish.  *YouTube Link*)
