We're finishing up the year by spending a few weeks talking about the most popular sport in the Spanish speaking world, fútbol!
Ask your student:
- Did you participate in the number challenge? How did you do? (To finish practicing numbers, students had the chance to "guess my number" in as few guesses as possible.)
This week's vocabulary
- el portero ~ the goalie
- el campo ~ the field
- el balón ~ the ball
- mete un gol ~ to score a goal.

- Optional: HERE are some soccer related words we won't have a chance to learn in class, but if you love fútbol, you might enjoy learning them.
- Extra Opportunity! FINDING NEMO in SPANISH! Come the HCHS auditorium on Friday, May 3 at 7pm to see Finding Nemo in Spanish with English subtitles.
