Kindergarten: November 8, 2017

This week, we continued learning shapes and colors.  We played a game to review the vocabulary we've been learning so far, and we learned some Thanksgiving related vocabulary.

Ask your student:

• What Thanksgiving shapes did you talk about?  (A table is a rectangle, a plate is a circle, a piece of pie is a triangle, and a napkin is square.) 

Vocabulary
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.

• el óvalo - the oval
• la mesa - the table (rectangle)
• el plato - the plate (circle)
• el trozo de pay - the piece of pie (triangle)
• la servilleta - the napkin (square)
• el rectángulo - the rectangle
• el triángulo - the triangle
• el cuadrado - the square
• el círculo - the circle
• grande - big
• pequeño - small

Homework:

Note:  In Kindergarten, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.

• Colors song!  It's a fast paced song, but a fun way to review colors in Spanish!
