Kindergarten: November 1, 2017

This week, we continued learning shapes and colors.  Next week, we'll begin using those words to talk about some fall/harvest and Thanksgiving related vocabulary.

Ask your student:
  • Where is the "triángulo grande"?  The "rectángulo pequeño?  Can you show me your picture from school?  (Every student drew a similar version of this picture as part of a listening activity in class...though we didn't get to all of the shapes.  The triángulo grande is the big triangle and the rectángulo pequeño is the the small rectangle.

Vocabulary:
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
  • el rectángulo - the rectangle
  • el triángulo - the triangle
  • el cuadrado - the square
  • el círculo - the circle
  • grande - big
  • pequeño - small

Homework:
Note:  In Kindergarten, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.
  • Colors song!  It's a fast paced song, but a fun way to review colors in Spanish!
