1st Grade: November 8, 2017

This week, we continued our new unit:  Mi Familia/My Family.  During this unit, we'll be learning how to describe our families in Spanish.

Ask your student:

• Do you remember how to say "grandma" or "grandpa" in Spanish?  (la abuela - grandma, el abuelo - grandpa)

Vocabulary
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.

• el abuelo - the grandpa
• la abuela - the grandma
• el perro - the dog
• el gato - the cat
• la mamá - the mom
• el papá - the dad
• el hermano - the brother
• la hermana - the sister
• yo - I (me)

Homework:

Note:  In first grade, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.
