2nd and 3rd Grade: November 9, 2016

In Spanish class today, we continued our unit about piñatas by focusing on the verb "tiene" (has).

Ask your student:
  • What are some things that you could find inside a piñata?  (In Mexico, fruit, coins, and nuts are often in piñatas!)
Vocabulary
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
    • dulces - sweets/candy
    • fruta - fruit
    • monedas - coins
    • nueces - nuts
    • tiene - he/she/it has
    • es - he/she/it is
    • grande - big
    • pequeño - small
    • sorpresas - surprises
    • Numbers 11-20 (these tend to be the toughest to pick up in Spanish.  We'll spend quite a bit of time with these numbers)
    • Numbers 1-10
