5th and 6th Grade: January 10, 2018

Over the next few weeks, we'll be learning common vocabulary and practicing new grammar concepts as we read a short story about a piñata. 

Ask your student:
  • Who is Olivia?  What do you know about her?  (Olivia is the first character we met in the short book we'll be reading.  She is a fox and she likes piñatas.)
Vocabulary:
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
  • le gusta - he/she likes
  • me gusta - I like
  • te gusta - you like
  • ¿Por qué? - Why
  • Porque - because
  • el zorro - the fox
  • quiere hacer - he/she wants to make
  • los caramelos - the (wrapped) candies
  • los chupetes - the suckers

  • Bible Memory:  (Stay tuned for a new verse for second semester!) This semester, we'll be memorizing 2 Corinthians 13:11 as an (HC)2 group.  We will practice memorizing this verse in Spanish.
