Ask your student:
- What was the game you played in Spanish class? Do you remember what object you touched? (Play at home! Put an object inside a bag or box and describe it in Spanish. Is it suave (smooth) or áspero (bumpy)? Is it blando (soft and squishy) or duro (hard)?)

- las manos - the hands
- toco - I touch
- suave - smooth
- áspero - rough/bumpy
- blando - soft/squishy
- duro - hard
- escucho - I listen
- escucha - he/she listens
- los oídos - the (inner) ears
- las orejas - the (outer) ears
- habla bajo - he/she speaks softly
- habla fuerte - he/she speaks loudly
- veo - I see
- ve - he/she sees
- los ojos - the eyes
Note:
In first grade, most of our Spanish homework consists of watching
short videos or songs to reinforce the vocabulary we learn in class.
