2nd and 3rd Grade: January 17, 2018

Over the next few weeks, we'll be learning different school-related vocabulary words.  This week, we learned the names for some common classroom objects!

After spending time really practicing numbers 1-20 first semester, this semester, we will focus on practicing numbers 21-100.  Be sure to listen to the catchy song linked in the homework section.

Ask your student:
  • Can you name two things you might have in your "mochila"? (We learned a lot of new school related words today!  Check the vocabulary list below if you need some ideas!) 
Vocabulary:
Words in bold are new this week, others are review.
  • la puerta - the door
  • el cuaderno - the notebook
  • la carpeta - the folder
  • el libro - the book
  • las tijeras - the scissors
  • la mochila - the backpack
  • la silla - the chair
  • la mesa - the table
  • abre - he/she opens
  • cierra - he/she closes
  • el pupitre - the desk
  • saca - he/she takes out
  • guarda - he/she puts away
  • el lápiz - the pencil
Homework:
  • Quia Vocabulary/Language practice
    • Practice the numbers Spanish numbers from 0-60 with these games!
  • Bible Memory:  (Second semester verse!). This semester, we'll be memorizing Galatians 5:22-23 as an (HC)2 group.  We will practice memorizing this verse in Spanish.
