5th and 6th Grade: February 25, 2015

Today in class we continued our unit about "las descripciones/descriptions."  We played some games to refresh our memories and then learned some more vocabulary words.

Ask your student:

• What is the difference between "alto" and "alta"?  (You say "alto" if you're talking about a boy and "alta" if you're talking about a girl.)

This week's vocabulary:

• alto/alta - tall
• bajo/baja - short
• grande/grandes - big
• pequeño/pequeña/pequeños/pequeñas - small

Homework

• New Bible Memory Passage:  The Lord's Prayer
• Passage typed out HERE.
• Audio Version
• Our new song: Countries and Capitals of Central America/The Caribbean.  We'll be listening to this song in class each week.  The goal is for students to learn all of the countries and capitals by the end of April.
• Quia practice (This is just a fun way to practice our vocabulary words to help prepare you for the assignment)
• Flashcards/Matching
• Battleship style game (Review from previous week)
• Hangman style game (Review from previous week)
• Quia Assignment (Completing this assignment is worth 2 stickers)
