We wrapped up our unit about the Spanish festival of "Las Fallas."

Ask your student:

• What is the AVE?  (It's a fast train in Spain.  Ave is short for Alta Velocidad-High Speed.)

This week's vocabulary:

• regresar - to return
• las maletas - the suitcases
• los billetes - the tickets
• sale - he/she/it leaves
• espera - he/she waits
• la plaza - (in this case) the assigned seat on a train/plane/bus

• Our new song: Countries and Capitals of Central America/The Caribbean and Countries and Capitals in Reverse.  We'll be listening to this song in class each week.  We will have a quiz about the countries and capitals on Wednesday, April 29 (to earn more stickers!)  Use these Quia games to help you practice:
